Nice brunch spot and kid friendly. Coffee is really good, and menu has some original items that are really good, try the BLAT!
My friend treated me to brunch here and it surpassed my expectations for brunch spots. We ordered one savory and sweet dish and shared them. The Steak n'eggs with chimichurri sauce was delicious! The steak was a tad overcooked but still seasoned really well and added an extra level of flavor to the bite of egg with potatoes. When I go back for brunch in the future I will definitely be ordering this dish again. The combination of everything on the plate was outstanding. The Belgian waffle with berries was good but nothing special. Just your regular waffle with syrup and berries but it was a nice balance against the savory bites. It was very enjoyable but I would want to try another sweet breakfast item next time. I docked a point for the service. We had to ask for water/hot sauce/ketchup multiple times before finally getting it. They weren't busy so there was no excuse to the waiter being two feet away and ignoring our calls of excuse me multiple times. The tables are lined with brown paper to make the clean up process faster for the wait staff which I'm sure comes in handy on busier days with long wait times.
We stopped at a great brunch spot in Manalapan, my 2nd time. It was soooooo good! It's home-cooked comfort food. The menu is full of delicious dishes. I've highlighted the 4 we had in my pictures. Our server was pleasant and friendly and when asked for comparisons she suggested the perfect dish. Overall our brunch was fantastic, nice portions. Oh and their drink menu was awesome, so many goodies to choose from. Reservations at this location are only over the phone and 24hrs in advance.
I was indecisive at first about whether to give 3 or 4 stars, but I went with 4 stars for now. I've been there a few times there are some dishes that are great and some dishes that just meh. They are great with large groups, there is ample parking, and the staff is always pleasant. The steak and eggs are always well seasoned and well cooked. The omelettes are not really good, the last one I ordered called the overload was quite bland a little salt would do wonders the only parts that had flavor were the parts with bacon which was only 2 small pieces not 2 slices of bacon but 2 small pieces. I love eating tomatoes especially fresh out of a garden but the chef's choice to use halved grape tomatoes in the overload omelettes made the omelette tart which was not appealing at all. The sausage in the omelette was abundant but lacked any flavor the mushrooms were a little pungent and the texture was very spongy. I do appreciate the nondairy alternatives made readily available for beverages, but the artificial flavoring was a bit too much that I barely drank it. I ordered a hot latte and you will see in the photos how the toppings begin to drip and melt making the presentation look unappealing. Would I still dine here of course, but will they be my go to breakfast or brunch spot? No, but I will stick to a few good choices on the menu and enjoy the pleasant staff from time to time.
First visit! I got there first before my friend! I was seated and offered to order while I waited! Which was very nice! Server was friendly and attentive! Liked the decor! Breakfast was good! Need to invest on getting new menus. Menus falling apart.
